BELGIAN ’XMAS GIFT FUND.

A shilling “Christmas Gift Fund” for the Belgians has been opened throughout the Dominion, and is meeting with a ready response. The Mayor (Mr Stiles) has been circularised, asking him to take charge of the fund locally, and in order that every man and woman in the town and district may be afforded an opportunity of subscribing to this very deserving object, he has arranged to have a collection box placed outside the polling booth on Thursday, into which those wishing to contribute can drop their donations.

We feel sure that everyone will only be too pleased to assist. Don’t forget, the box will be outside the polling booth, and small or large donations will be welcomed.
