It was decided to forward the lund to the Belgian Consul at Wellington. It was decided to place all gifts not disposed of in the hands of Mr Kellow for disposal. Votes of thanks were accorded to the Borough Council, Borough Band, Racing Club, Levin and Co., Manawatu Herald, and all who had rendered assistance.

A sub-committee, consisting ot Mesdames Kerr-Hislop and Johnston and Messrs Hornblow, Raine, Kellow, W. E. Barber and Bell, were appointed to make allarrangements to wind up the carnival fund.

The dressed and live pigs, turkey and fowls, birthday cake and eggs were auctioned on behalf of the produce stall. They all realised considerably more than their value. It has been impossible to publish gitts from donors, as no list of same has been kept or forwarded to us tor publication. We hope anyone who has been overlooked in this connection will accept this explanation. Where so many have given in money or kind it is impossible to mention all, and we feel sure it is not the wish of the majority that this should be done. The committee’s thanks are extended to every one.

Mr Evans guessed the nearest number ot peas in a bottle, for the wedding cake donated by Mr Feareau. His guess was 8,230, the exact number is 8,373. In our report of the recent carnival we did not do justice to the artistic decorations of the various cars, bicycles, vehicles, ponies, etc., which lent such an attraction to the procession. Each was a work of art, and hours must have been spent in designing and fixing up. The motor cars, particularly Mr Simmons’ exhibit, a Japanese art creation, was universally admired. The decorations on Mrs Moore’s car were also much admired.
