HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
SPRING SHOW
The annual Spring Show will be held in the Town Hall on Thursday aud Friday next. Entries close with the Secretary ou Tuesday next, and late entries up to t> p.m. on the night previous to the Show.
The following judges have been finally appointed : Pot plants and cut blooms, Mr A. J. Shailer ; fruit aud vegetables, Mr B. H. Just; dairy produce, home industries and cookery, Mr F. O. Smith; decorative add fancy work, Mrs S. Hume and Miss Knight ; School work, Mr L. J. Watkins (Feilding High School). The tea-rooms will be in charge of Mrs T. Henderson. Donations in the way of provisions, etc., will be thankfully received. The sweets stall will be in charge of Mrs F. Woods, who has made such a success of this department in past years. Mr Geo. Barber will officiate as supervising steward. Mr Betty’s orchestra will provide a programme of musical selections and the maypole dancers will also be an extra attraction.
Mrs Renton has donated a three-tier cake for the guessing competition.
