CORRESPONDENCE.
(To the Editor-)
Sir. —I was pleased to read the letter by “Progress” which appeared in your last issue re throwing the roads open for stock grazing. I have been a sufferer through wandering stock under restrictions and I think it is time the Council protected residents from wandering stock instead of licensing the nuisance. I think it is outrageous tor the Council to take up the attitude that so long as they are not responsible for any damage either to persons or property, the nuisance to other people and possible accidents and damage, may continue. I hope the Council may see the error of its way and stop stock from grazing on the roads. —Yours etc., SUFI-'ERRR.
