Tenders are invited by the Presbyterian Ladies’ Guild for the erection of two fences at the manse. Tenders close at noon on the 16th inst. Specifications at this office. F. Gabites buys for cash and sells tor cash, and is therefore in a position to give absolutely the best value possible. A few prices are quoted in his advertisement'to-day. Durward and Co. advertise to-day both black and white poplin, in various cords, which has just arrived at their establishment. The poplins are rich in quality, and, it is claimed, at the prices asked are better value than is offered elsewhere. O’Connor and Tydeman, Palmerston N., draw attention in their advertisement to-day to their choice stock of handsome silver and silvermounted vases, flower bowls, etc., which they have recently received. The prices range from a ‘‘mere song” to several guineas. Having just landed an up-to-date supply of catering utensils from England, Mr M. Perreau is now in a position to specialise in catering, which will be undertaken in any part of the district.* The two best selling lines in Foxton : Yeast cakes 6d, Preservene soap 4d per bar.
