THE KAIRAKI WRECK.
INQUEST ON BODIES. Grevmouth, Oct. 24. An inquest was opened on the bodies found on the North Beach. The only evidence of identification was that of Edward Green, a stevedore, who had no doubt that one of the bodies was that of Fred Johnson, A. 8., on the KairakL The body was dressed in dungaree clothing, witnesses stating that Johnson was the only member of the crew who wore dungarees coming in and going out of port. The remains were interred at Grey yesterday.
