DISTRICT HOSPITAL.

Bight hundred and sixty-one patients were admitted to the District Hospital during the year ended March 31st, and including 54 in the institution at the beginning of the year, made a total of 915, 787 were discharged, 67 died and there were 61 under treatment on March 31st. Nationalities of Patients : New Zealand, 572 ; English, 169 ; Irish, 53 ; Scotch, 33 ; Australian, 47 : Danes, 13 ; German, g ; Canadian, 1 ; United States ot America, 1 ; Welsh, 2 ; Swede, 5 ; South Africa, 2 ; Norway, 5 ; South America, 1 ; Swiss, 1 ; Bohemian, 1 ; total, 915.
