THE HEMP MARKET.
HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. The High Commissioner cabled yesterday afternoon as follows: — The hemp market is quiet, nothing doing. Quotations are nominal. Good fair 10s, fair £2l 10s, fair current Manila ,£26 xos. New Zealand hemp is seriously affected by sisal declining, American quotation being three and seven-eighths cents, equal to £l7 10s c.i.f. New York. The output of Manila tor the week was 13,000 bales.
