ENTERTAINMENTS.

ROYAL PICTURES. To-night at the Royal “Officer John Donovan,” a real drama with a genuine ring, will be screened. It is a play with a grand keynote, humanity—a heart story of wonderful heart interest — a drama with many tender passages, and shows a big sensational fight between the police and a gang of thieves. Other films to be screened are, “Topical Budget”; “The Poet Laureate,” comedy drama, a striking Western playlet with a true dramatic touch ; “Niagara Falls,” a really magnificent scenic showing some wonderful views of the world-famous cataract; “The Shadow on the Wall,” a powerful play of passion and power ; “The Little Prince is Lost,” a comedy featuring two clever children; “The Solos — Gymnasts,” are production of a world's star music hall act; and “Wiffles Tricks the Detective,” a splendid comic. On Monday and Tuesday two big sensational dramas will be screened entitled, “The Water Rat,” and “The Hindoo Charm.” MUNICIPAL PICTURES. Without doubt the Nordisk films hold their own against all other makes, and on this account are always eagerly looked forward to, therefore the star film, “The Midnight Sun,” for to-night which is a Nordisk should attract a good house. Other items are : “Warwick Chronicle,” topical; “Gertie Gets the Cash,” comic ; “On the Silver Coast,” scenic ; “The Mexican’s Gratitude,” drama; “From Janitor to Artist,” comic; “Diana's Dress Reform,” comic.
