‘•The East Days of Pompeii,” which is said to be one of the finest motion pictures the world has ever seen will be screened at “The Royal” to-morrow night. It is 7,0001 t, in length, and was reproduced amidst the desinterred ruins ot ancient Pompeii. It is indeed a wonderful production, proclaimed by press and public to be a supreme achievement in kinematography and abounds in art, beauty, realism and regal magnificence. Patrons to-morrow night will see a perfect reproduction of the old Roman atmosphere showing Roman life in all its splendour. Amongst the numberless aweinspiring and bewildering spectacles are : The Storm in the Mountains, the Temple of Isis, the Egyptian Priests and Early Christians, the Sign of the Cross, the great Circus Ensemble in which are seen 59 gladiators and 15 lions, tigers, etc., the stupendously enthralling eruption and hundreds of bewildering episodes. It is truly a wonderful picture and should not be missed. Prices as usual. To-night will be repeated the programme shown last night, the star film being, “The Queen’s Jewel.” MUNICIPAL PICTURES. The star film for to-morrow night, “Caprice,” is the last word in startling picture successes. Nothing ever filmed has achieved the same success as “Caprice.” Mary Pickford is the best of all picture actresses and in this production she will be seen in the strongest combination of creation and portrayal ever submitted, when she holds the mirror up to nature. All the other items will help to make up a programme of extraordinary merit. On Wednesday the 23rd inst., there will be produced at the Coronation Hall the biggest cinematograph film ever taken, viz., “The Three Musketeers,” a film wonder of 10,000 ft., in six titanic parts, the supreme masterpiece of modern filmic art, and a complete entertainment in itself, acted by the longest and strongest cast ever combined for cinema work.
