ENTERTAINMENTS.
BENEFIT PICTURE SHOW.
In the Coronation Hall tomorrow night, a benefit picture entertainment, in aid of the local distress fund, will be held. The gross proceeds will be banded over, no deductions whatever being made. The programme to be submitted is a particularly good one and includes three films, “Gibraltar,” “The Italian Navy” and “Moscow,” which should, under existing circumstances, be of more than usual interest.' The ordinary charges for admission will be made and as the proceeds are to be devoted to such a good object there will no doubt be a very large attendance. ROYAL PICTURES. At the Royal to-morrow night the star film, “The Mystery of the Silver Skull,” will be screened. It is produced by the popular Vitagraph Company, which is sufficient proof that it is a real top-notcher, abounding in strong dramatic sensation. To fully explain the plot would occupy too much space, but it can with confidence be recommended as a really fine picture. There will also be shown an exceptional educational film, “A Blast Furnace,” a fine reproduction which affords an excellent idea of the value of this adjunct to modern mechanism. Other films to be shown are; “Gaumont Graphic,” the globe’s gossip in pictures; “The Witching Hour,” comic ; “National Park of Lapland,” a fine scenic; “The Colonel’s Adopted Daughter,” an emotional drama of appealing power to head and heart; “Uncle’s Namesake, comedy ; and “Mabel’s Stormy Love Affairs.” To-night the star drama is “The Rise of Officer 174,” supported by other good films.
