The Rev D. C. Bates wires today as follows: — Freshening, to westerly heavy gale, and veering by west to south alter about 24 to 36 hours. The weather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled. Rain probable ; barometer falling. Tides and sea increasing to sea heavy, tides good.
