ROYAL PICTURES.
The star picture at the Royal to-night is, “Divorced,” an artistic human interest drama featuring the cleverest child actress in pictures. It shows Little Colette, who finds.it no easy matter to promote peace between her quarrelsome parents. When Mr Welford opens one of his wife’s love letters and Mrs Welford sees a note to her husband from a lady admirer, nothing .Colette can do can prevent a divorce. Alter the divorce Colette goes to live with her mother, but she is allowed to visit her father every Thursday. Colette’s mother has many admirers, but the little girl adopts many ingenious schemes to drive i them away as her’ one hope is for > parents to be united. The child eventually shams illness and the father and mother at once hurry to the godmother’s home. By their child’s bedside they meet and Colette’s dream is realised when, she at last is able to effect a reconciliation between the divorced couple. Other pictures include the English Derby and some good dramas and scenics.
