TWO CHRISTCHURCH SOLICITORS IN TROUBLE.
Christchurch, Aug. 3,
Thomas Maude, solicitor, was before the Court to-day on a charge that during July, 1910, he received from Thomas D. Harman a sum of £1,050 on terms requiring him to pay the same to Elizabeth Barnett, and fraudulently converting it to his own use. He was remanded till August 12th. Bail in two surities of ,£I,OOO each was allowed.
Frank Bowring Turner, solicitor, was also charged on March 30th that he received the sum of £7y 18s id and fraudulently converted same to his own use. He was remanded till Friday, bail of .£6OO being allowed.
