NOTICE TO STRIKE RATES. ■]VrOTICE is hereby given that -Li in pursuance and exercise ol the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908,” “The Libraries and Mechanics’ Institute Act. 1908,” and “The Rating Act, 1908,” and all amendments thereto, the Foxton Borough Council will, at a meeting to be held on Monday, August lOth, 1914, at 7.30 p.m., in the Council Chambers, Main Street, Foxton, make and levy a General Rate of Two pence and eleven-sixteenths of a penny in the £, and a Library rate of One-eighth of a penny in the £. on the Unimproved Value as shown in the. Valuation Roll of all the rateable properties in the Borough of Foxton. Also to collect the following Special rates, viz., Whirokino Bridge Loan rate of One-twelfth ol a penny in the £, Roads and Streets Loan No. 1 rate of One-fourth of a penny in the £, Shannon Bridge Loan rate of One-sixteenth of a penny in the £, Council Chamber and Public Library Loan rate ot Five-sixteenths of penny in the £, Whirokino Bridge Additions Loan rate of a One hundred and twentieth of a penny in the £, and a Gas Works Loan rate of One penny in the £, and also a Sanitation charge of Seventeen shillings per pan on all House property within the nightsoil area, such rates to be for the period commencing on the First day of April, 1914, and terminating on the Thirty-first day ot March, 1915, and the said Rates and Sanitation charge to be due and payable in one sum at the Town Clerk’s Office, Foxton, on the Twenty-fifth day of August, 1914.
