THE HEMP MARKET.
HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT.
The High Commissioner cabled at noon yesterday as follows : The hemp market is rather more active, especially for Manila with a slight rise in prices all round. New Zealand good fair, £25 10s ; fair, £ 2 3 10s ; Manila fair current, ment about the same. The output of Manila for the week was 16,000 bales. The New Zealand stock at the end of June was : Hemp, 833 tons ; tow, 365 tons.
