LEVIN-MARTON RAILWAY.

The following remit was passed on the motion of Crs Richards and Kebbellatthe Horowhenua County Council meeting on Saturday for discussion at the conference of Local Bodies and Chambers of Commerce to be held in July in Wellington by the Central Chamber of Commerce: —

“That with the object of providing better facilities for that portion of the Wellington province, lying between Levin on the South and Marton on the North, and for the shortening of the distance between the two principal cities ot the Dominion the Government be requested to make provision for the construction of the Levin to Greatford Railway.”
