TREATMENT OF WARTS.
The statement has often been made and received with incredulity that removal of warts upon one band may result in spontaneous disappearance of the warts on the opposite hand. It has been assumed that the result has been due to mere coincidence or to mental impression. A German has now stated that he had under treatment a young woman with numerous hard warts on both hands. Despite the fact that the X-ray was not a dependable resource the doctor gave it a trial, limiting the first treatment to the right hand. The warts soon began to show evidence ot going, not only on the right baud, but on its fellow as well. Both hands became free at the same time. Other specialists have seen this crossed result from the scraping of the warts on one side.
