THE MIRACLE.
There was a crowded house to witness the star film, “Ihe Miracle,” at the Town Hall last night. The setting and theatrical portrayal of the author’s ideas were extravagant and elaborate, but the whole conception from a religious point of view was a burlesque. Such legends are better left in print. A well-balanced choir, under the able conductorship of Mr John Colder, rendered some fine sacred vocal accompaniments. At a suitable juncture, the manager, Mr Kent-Johnston, conveyed the Council’s and his own thanks to Mr Colder and the choir and orchestra for their assistance, and to the public for the continued patronage at the pictures. The remarks were approved by a hearty round of applause. The first part of the programme consisted of some interesting films. -
