The Rev. D. C. Bates wires today as follows ; The indications are for variable and moderate breezes, but northerly moderate to strong winds prevailing; there is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather, with increasing haze and cloudiness ; the barometer has a falling tendency ; sea smooth, tides poor.
