LIONEL TERRY.

Christchurch, May 25

Lionel Terry, who gained considerable notoriety some years ago by shooting a Chinese in Haiuing Street, Wellington, and who has, for some time past, been lodged in the Sunnyside Mental Hospital, was on Saturday transferred from that institution to Seacliff Mental Hospital (Otago). The journey from Sunnyside to Seacliff was made in a taxicab, and Terry was accompanied by three attendants and a doctor. He was quiet and passive throughout the long trip, and gave absolutely no trouble whatever. He took with him a bottle of cold water, and this was the only refreshment which he allowed himself.
