END OF LONG FRIENDSHIP.
PARTIES IN DIVORCE SUIT
Boys together, fate decreed that Mr W. E. Malyon should have to cite his former chum, Chas. Agass, as co-respondent to his recent suit for a divorce.
Mr Maylon said he married his wife, Mary Emma, in 1902. For six years they lived happily. Then trouble arose owing to the wife accusing her husband of improper conduct with a girl in the house. In spite of denials the wife left the house and went into service. But twelve months later she begged to be taken back. Mr Malyon relented, -and lived with her in the High Road, Tottenham. There the co-respondent came into the house as a lodger. Very soon Mr Malyon began to suspect him and his wile, but when accused denied there was anything wrong, Mr Maylon accepted the denial in the circumstances and co-respon-dent remained. Matters went on until June, 1911, when the wife eloped with the co-respondent and
lived with him. Six months later, apparently having repented the step she had taken, Mrs Malyon wrote her husband, seeking an interview at the house of a mutual friend. Mr Malyon consented. Then the wife confessed that corespondent had treated her badly, and she pleaded for forgiveness. The husband yielded. When they arrived in their new home, said counsel, co-respondent was already there. The story told the husband was that Agass was out of work and in very low water, so he was allowed to stay in the house. In March, 1912, however, Mr Malyon suspected the man, and turned him out of the place. The wife denied any misconduct, and for a year husband and wife lived together. Then, in April, 1913, Mrs Maylon informed her husband she couid no longer live with him and they had better part. He suspected she was carrying on with Agass after she went away, and discovered them together.
