MOUTOA DRAINAGE BOARD.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the Moutoa Drainage Board was held on Thursday evening. Present -.—Messrs Gower (chairman), Robinson, Hammond and Barber. An apology for absence was received from Mr Easton.
The clerk reported the amount at debit on the general account at 6s rod and to credit of interest account £32 173 3d. Accounts amounting to £l7 5s were passed for payment. Correspondence in reference to rating was read from the Undersecretary of Internal Affairs, advising that if any alteration were desired it would be necessary to apply to the Minister for permission and to advertise a notification stating that objections were to be lodged at the office of the Minister for Internal Affairs.—lt was decided to advertise in accordance with the terms of the letter. The overseer submitted a report on drain cleaning work carried out during the last month.
