BOROUGH FINANCE.
The Borough Treasurer reported at Monday night’s Council meeting as follows
I beg to report that the following amounts have been received during the past month, and placed to credit as under: To district lund account 14s gd, and to cemetery account .£72 lis rod. The Bank balances on May Ist were as follows: District fund account credit ,£506 13s 4d, and cemetery account credit £5 14s Bd. The following is the position of the various accounts :—Cemetery £5 14s Bd, contractors’ deposits £4, gas works £342 2s xxd, Whirokino bridge loan £2 18s gd, roads and streets loan £3O 3s gd, Shannon bridge loan £i_ 18s Bd, Whirokino bridge additions loan £g 14s gd, roads and streets loan No. 2 £32 7s 2d, gas works loan £6 4s id, library £22 p rod, reserves £ll2 os gd, sanitation £92 is rod, Town Hall £BB, i'ovvn Hall pictures £27 igs Bd, Town Hall rink £7 18s, all in credit, a total of £785 12s tod.
