PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.
A meeting of the district committee of the Foxton Presbyterian Church was held at Raugiotu yesterday at 11 a.m. The moderator, Rev J. M. Thomson M.A. presided and there were present : Messrs Buglass and Hornblow (Poston), Wilton, Macaulay, Glendinning, Ingley, Alsop (Rangiotu), Farmer, Amon, Young (Glen Oroua), McCully and A. Malheson (Tiakitahuna). An apology for absence was received from the district secretary. Mr Richardson, who it was reported was in the district hospital suffering from a painful wound in the leg Inflicted by a boar. Considerable attention was given to the financial position of the charge and it was decided to make an effort to liquidate the outstanding liability before the close of the financial year in June next. Satisfactory reports were received from the various centres. The delegates were hospitably entertained at lunch in the hall by Mesdames Macaulay and Simpsou and Miss Alsop. The next quarterly meeting will be held at Tiakitahuna.
