SUPPOSED POISONING CASE.
Gisborne, April 16
A Portuguese, named Nathaniel de Souza, about 50 years of age, was found in a dying condition at Ngatapa yesterday morning evidently having swallowed a dose of poison, presumably some disinfectant. Deceased kept a boardinghouse and dining rooms for railway workers there, and was found at bis residence as the men went over ior breakfast lying in a dying condition and groaning, and was apparently in the severest possible pain. The theory is that poison was taken in mistake.
