BOROUGH FINANCES.
The Borough Treasurer reported at Tuesday’s Council meeting as follows : —■ Tbe following accounts were received and placed to credit as under : District fund account £452 19s 6d, cemetery account £3 17s 6d. The bank balances as at 31st March were : District fund, cr, £515 os lod, cemetery account, cr, £1 18s 2d. The position of the various accounts on 31st March is asunder’. Cemetery £1 18s 2d, contractor’s deposits £4, gas works £284 18s, Whirokino bridge loan £2 18s yd, roads and streets loan £3O 3s yd, Shannon bridge loan £ 1 18s Bd, Whirokino bridge add. loan £9 14s 9d, roads and streets line No 2 £32 7s 2d, gas works loan £6 4s id, library £29 3s id, reserves £ll3 12s gd, sanitation £lls us 4d, town hall £lO5 ns nd all in credit, and general, dr, 3s sd.
