The Mauawatu County Council should take into serious consideration the straightening of the main road near Baiuesse. The curves are extremely dangerous in places and numbers of narrow escapes from collisions between motors and vehicular traffic are almost of daily occurrence. We believe the cost of straightening this road in the locality mentioned would be more than counterbalanced by the reduced cost of .maintenance. The
