BOROUGH FINANCES.
The Borough Treasurer reported at last night’s Council meeting as follows : During the past month the following amounts were received aud banked; For district fund account 16s, and cemetery account ,£ll 15s. The bank balances on 4th inst. were: District fund account, credit, ,£492 2s 6d, aud cemetery account cr., is 4d. The position of the various accounts is as under: —Cemetery is 4d, contractors’ deposits S aS works ,£372 9a, Whirokino bridge loan £2 12s 3d, roads and streets loan ,£l9 183 9d, Shannon Bridge loan £1 15s 6d, Whirokino bridge additional loan £9 ns 7d, roads aud streets loan No. £5 7 s sd, gas works loan £1 3s 2d, Beach road loan ,£7 19s id, library £9 173 gd, reserves ,£69 15s 6d, sanitation ,£136 12s 4d, Town Hall ,£136 18s 6d, all in credit, totalling ,£BOI 2s 4!. The general account ,£175 183 6J, and imprest cash ,£lO are at debit, a total of 185 18s 6d. SUMMARV.
