MOUTOA DRAINAGE BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the Moutoa Drainage Board was held on Thursday evening. Present: Messrs Gower ( Chairman ), Easton, Robinson, Barber and Hammond.

The Clerk reported the overdraft at the Bank of New Zealand at 3s 1 id. Accounts amounting to 4s were passed for payment. The overseer reported on the drain cleaning work carried out since last meeting, and was authorised to employ the necessary labour to complete the work. The Eand Drainage Amendment Act passed last session was read and discussed, and it was resolved that an opinion be obtained on the question of rating on a graduated scale.

Other routine business was transacted, and the meeting rose.
