BOWLING.
A rink from the local club consisting of Messrs Ritnmer, Spring, McColl and Whibley, journeyed to Terrace End yesterday with the object of capturing the Toms Ferns, The visitors were treated most hospitably by the home club. The game was closely contested throughout. F'oxton had a lead on the first four heads and at the tea adjournment the scores were Foxton 12, Terrace End n. The thirteenth head proved fatal to Foxton when Terrace End got in a lead of one. The game finally resulted Foxton 17, Terrace End 23. Ihe locals are by no means discouraged as they intend to pay the holders another visit at an early date.
Last week the semi final in the handicap pairs co:-,-; '.'..ion was played, Spring and Woods (scr) 22, beating Green and Rimmer (scr) 17. The final in this competition now lays between Spring and Woods (scr) and Nye and Slunnell 3.
