VERY SERIOUS OUTDOOR.

Sydney, Feb. 6.

The stevedores loading deep sea ships have commenced a strike against working overtime, but the wharf labourers will continue overtime till Monday.

Initial steps are being taken towards a compulsory conference. There is a great quantity of wheat on the wharves awaiting shipment, and it is feared the shipment of frozen meat will be stopped for a lew days. The outlook is regarded as very serious.
