BOWLING.

Yesterday alternoon three rinks from the Shannon Club visited Foxtou and a very enjoyable afternoon was spent on the green. The visitors proved too good for the local players winning all three matches. On No. t rink the visitors had a very easy win kind's team beating Witchell’s by 20 to 11. The game on No. 2 rink was a particularly close one, the score being almost equal throughout and when 21 heads had been played read 22 all. Shannon scored one on the extra head, thus winning by 23 to 22. On the other rink Foxtou had the best of the game until the nineteenth bead, when the scores were, Foxtou 21, Shannon 15, In the last two heads however, Shannon scored 10, a six and a four, and won by 25 to 21. Bonltbee McColl Venn Fall Knowles Barber kind (s) 20 Wilchell(s) 11 Fargher Nye Gibson Hopper Bromley Wbibley Gunning (s) 2,3 Rimmer (s) 22 Bilderbeck Healey Butt Bryant Mitchell Spring Knowles (s) 25 Hislop (s) 21 The second round of the colts competition was completed yesterday afternoon, Bryant iS beating Ball 14. There are now only three left lu this competition, McColl, Bryant and G. Whibley. Alternoon tea yesterday was provided by Mrs Perrean.
