HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. The High Commissioner cabled at noon yesterday as follows: — Manila reports indicate a firm Market and active buying on American account. Prices: Fair current spot ,£2B 10s. JanuaryMarch £29. The output for the week was 21,000 bales the New Zealand market is quiet. Small business doing, chiefly at second band. Dominion sellers are holding off. Prices ; JanuaryMarch good fair £ 26 10s, fair fair ss, February-April about 5s more. For tow a better tone prevails this week, and prices are firm. Second grade £l2 ss, third £ll ss. The New York Sisal market is firmer, sellers asking 5 % cents, The latest quotations are xos to according tq quality. German-African fibre is in good demand and prices are firm in sympathy with other fibres. Second grade £27 10s, third £2 6 10s.
