DROWNED OFF A HULK.

IN WELLINGTON HARBOUR

Wellington, Dec. 16

James Waterstreet, aged 52, was drowned in the harbour this afternoon.

He was the keeper of the hulk Solgran, which had just been towed out to its moorings by the tug Terawhiti. Waterstreet and another, Green, were fixing the lines to the mooting buoy when the rope broke and both were knocked into the water. ' Green caught a line thrown from the tug and was hauled aboard, but Waterstreet was not seen again.
