From 22nd December to 6th January inclusive Extra Mail trains will run between Wellington and Wanganui as under Leave Wellington (Thorndon) 8.17 a.m , Palmerston 12.45 p.m., arriving Wanganui 4.24 p.m., and connecting at Aramoho with train from Wanganui to Hawera. Leave Wanganui 12.40 p.m., Palmerston 4.10 p.m., arriving Wellington (Thorndon) 7.55 p.m. On these dates the ordinary Down Mail train will stop after leaving Palmerston only at Otaki, Paekakariki, Plimmerton, Johnsonville and Khandallah. A dining car will NOT be ran on the Wanganui - Wellington Extra Mail trains. From 22nd December to 6th January, relief Mail trains making the same stops as the ordinary Mail, will run between Napier and Palmerston, leaving Napier 9.25 a.m., arriving Palmerston 3.40 p.m., and leaving Palmerston 2.35 p.m., arriving Napier 8.18 p.m. On these dates the Napier-Thorn-don Up and Down Mail trains will not take passengers for or from stations between Pakipaki and Palmerston, inclusive, except for or fronrstopping stations south of Palmerston. The Down relief Mail train will connect at Palmerston with trains for Wellington, Wanganui and Auckland, and the Up Palmerston-Napier Relief Mail train will connect with Extra Down express train leaving Auckland at 10.0 p.m. On 25th December passenger trains will run between Wanganui and Wellington as under Leave Wanganui 12.5 a.m., Palmerston 4.20 a.m., arriving Wellington (Thorndon) 8.45 a.m., and connecting with train leaving Palmerston North 4.20 a.m.. arriving Napier 10.25 a.m. Leave Wellington (Thorndon) 11.20 p.m. (24th December), Palmerston 4.10 a.m. (25th December), arriving Wanganui 7.50 a.m. The 12.5 a.m. special from Wanganui will stop after leaving Longburn at Shannon, Levin, Otaki and all stations between Paekakariki and Wellington. On Christmas Day, 25th December, the following trains only WILL RUN : The ordinary and extra mail and express trains, WANGANUI - PALMERSTON N—The 7.0 a.m. and 4.35 P-m. trains Wanganui to Palmerston, and 7.10 a.m. and 4.50 trains Palmerston North to Wanganui. PALMERSTON N. - WOODVILLE. —The 7.0 a.m. tram Palmerston to Napier. The 11.48 a.m. train Palmerston to Woodville. The 4.40 p.m. train Palmerston to Waipukurau. The 6,40 a.m. train from Waipukurau to Palmerston, and 3.0 p.m. train Napier to Palmerston N. PALMERSTON - FOXTON. The 9.0 a.m. train Foxton to Palmerston N., and the 5.35 p.m. train Palmerston to Foxton. PALMERSTON - WELLINGTON. —The 7.0 a.m. train Palmerston to Wellington, and 4.15 p.m. train Wellington to Palmerston. No goods or live stock traffic will be conveyed on 25th and 26th December and Ist January, and Good Sheds will be closed on those days. For further particulars see posters.
