From 22nd December to 6th January, Express Trains making the usual express trains stoppages for passengers will run between Auckland and Palmerston as under : Leave Auckland 8 p.m. daily (except Saturdays) from 22nd December to 6th January, Marton 10.20 a.m. daily (except Sundays) from 23rd December to 7th January, arriving Palmerston 11.25 a.m. Leave Palmerston 2.35 p.m. daily (except Sundays) from 22nd December to 6th January, arriving Auckland 6.20 a.m. From 18th December to 10th January, the ordinary Up Express will not lift passengers at stations between Palmerston and Mercer, inclusive. Passengers from these stations must travel by the Extra Up Express Train. The Ordinary Down Express Train will take passengers from Auckland only for Waiouru, Taihape and stopping stations beyond Taihape and will not lift passengers at any stopping stations between Mercer and Palmerston, inclusive, except for Waiouru. This train will also lift passengers from Waiouru for Taihape and stopping stations beyond Taihape. Other passengers from these stations must travel by the Extra Down Express Train. On 24th, 25th, 26th and 31st December, and Ist and 2nd January, an express train will leave Frarikton at 5.10 a.m. for Rotorua after connecting with the Up Express Train leaving Wellington 12.35 p.m. on the previous day and on the same dates an Express Train will leave Rotorua at 9.10 p.m,, connecting at Frankton with the 10 p.m. Down Express from Auckland.
