BOWLING.
On account of the unfavourable weather conditions yesterday afternoon, it was late before plav was started on the green and croquet lawns. However, in the latter part of , the afternoon there was a fairly good muster, and some practice games w ere indulged in. Afternoon tea was provided by Mrs Meyer. Several of the competition games have already been played, with the following results: — Champion singles, Petrie 24 beat Stunell 17, and Spring 18 beat Green 16. Handicap singles : Harvey (scr) 26, beat F, B. Whibley (3) 17. Colts : Bryant 24, beat Henderson 12. A meeting or the ladies’ committee was held last night to arrange the fixtures for the croquet competitions. These are now being drawn, and a start with the games will be made almost immediately.
