CRICKET.

At a meeting of the management committee of the Horowbenua Cricket Association at Levin this week, it was decided to commence the cup fixtures on Saturday next, December 13th. Also to endeavour to arrange a match with Porirua on December 27th, failing that, to invite Mr Ken Tucker to bring a city team to Levin on that date. Messrs Teremewau and Brough: ton were elected selectors for representative matches. It was decided to play three rounds in the competition. The fixtures for the first round are as under, the matches fixed lor December 27th being subject to alteration : December 13th. Foxton v. Shannon, at Foxton; Levin v. Otaki, at Levin. December 20th. Levin v. Shannon, at Shannon ; Foxton v. Otaki, at Levin. December 27th. Foxton v. Levin, at Foxton ; Otaki v. Shannon, at Levin.
