FATAL TRAM ACCIDENT.

AT DUNEDIN, Dunedin, Last Night. Alfred Tennyson Moss, aged 22, met his death this evening under tragic circumstances. It appears that Moss was riding a bicycle along the tramway on his way home at 5.7 in Frame Street, North East Valley. When near the George Street School a southward bound tram car came into view along the parallel track. Simultaneously a motor cyclist came along behind Moss, aud the latter evidently intended to make way for it. Instead, however, of steering towards the left hand, Moss cut right across on the coming car, and was struck by its left corner aud hurled to the ground.

He was unconscious when picked up aud was at once taken to the Hospital, where he died a little before 6 o’clock without regaining consciousness.
