PRESENTATION.
The local Freemasons’ Lodge made a presentation to Mr A. D. Clemett at the conclusion of their monthly meeting on Tuesday night. Among those present were several visiting brethren, and apologies for unavoidable absence were received from a number of others. The presentation consisted of a chaste gold watch-chain and gold sovereign case, the latter suitably inscribed. The presentation was made by Wor. Bro. Hornblow, and eulogistic valedictory speeches were made by the W.M., Wor. Bro. Bullard, and Wor. Bro. Alf. Fraser, and Bros. Hunt, Belt and Barber. Reference was made to the fact that the departing brother was the active spirit in forming the local lodge, and its first master, nnd fr o ui the Lodge's inception baa occu one of its most enthusiastic members. General regret was expressed at his departure, and he was wished God-speed in his new home. Wor. Bro. Clemett feelingly responded.. The brethren ended round the guest and sang Auld Lang Syne, followed by three ringing cheers.
