BOWLING.

Yesterday afternoon a progressive tournament was played on the local green, play commencing early in the afternoon and continuing until 5 o’clock. Seven heads were played in each game. The following is the result of the tour-nament:—-McColl and Witchell 4 games, G. Whibley and Stunell 4, Reid and Barber 3, Spring and Rimmer 3, Hopper and D. Whibley 2, Bryant and Woods 2, Meyer and Petrie 0, and Green and Harvey 0. Afternoon tea was provided by the lady members of the Club. A stait is to be made atari early date with the competitions for trophies presented by members and others. With the exception of the trophy for this year’s players, the competitions will all be handicap ones.
