ARBITRATION ACT.
“ What are the intentions of the Government with regard to the Arbitration and Conciliation Act Amendment Bill,” was a question put to the Prime Minister by Mr Robertson. It was rumoured, he said, that the Government did not intend to proceed with the Bill beyond the second reading stage this session.
Mr Massey said it was arranged at last meeting of the Labour Bills Committee that evidence should be taken and that the measure should proceed. “ I hope to proceed with the Bill,” added Mr Massey, “ if only for the purpose of correcting some gross misrepresentation.”
Sir Joseph Ward : I hope you will get the Bill back iu the House this session.
