BOROUGH FINANCES.
The Borough Treasurer reported at last night’s Council meeting as follows: —
“The balances at the Bank of New Zealand are as follows: District fund account credit £733 7s rod, and cemetery account cr. £l2 17s. Since last meeting the following amounts have been received and banked: To district fund £BOI 14s 7d, for cemetery account £6 10s. The following is the position of the various accounts General account, debit £3lB us 4d; Beach road loan account, debit £25 us 4d ; Town Hall account, credit £354 7s 3d ; gasworks loan account, cr. £275 4s id ; reserves account, cr. £127 18s 2d; gas works account, cr. ,£BB 9s ; sanitation account, cr. ,£B4 9s; roads and streets No. 1 account, cr. £3O ss ; cemetery account, cr. £t2 17s; roads and streets loan No. 2 account, cr. ,£lO 14s ird; Whirokino bridge add. loan account, cr. £lO 2s; library account, cr. £9 2s 4d ; Wbirokino bridge loan account, cr. ,£8 8s Qd; Shannon bridge loan account, cr. £5 14s 9d ; contractor’s deposit account, cr, £4.. Credit balance cemetery account as per Bank N.Z. pass book, £l2 17s ; cr. balance district fund account as per Bank N.Z. pass book, £733 7s .rod, less unpresented cheques £7B 15s 3d. Imprest cash, £lO. Accounts amounting to £530 os 3d are submitted for payment. I would suggest that the usual resolution be passed this meeting re outstanding rates.
