ENTERTAINMENTS.

MUNICIPAL PICTURES

Last night there was another good audience to witness the above pictures, A most interesting programme is promised for Saturday night. The star film, “The Yaqui Cur,” is said to be vivid, virile and valiant. This is the story of a young Indian who attempts to follow the white man’s doctrine in his own environments. Through refusing to participate in an attack on another tribe he is cast forth by warriors of his own, and branded as a coward. It was then that his opportunity came to follow the while man’s wonderful doctrine —“Big Love may lay down life for friend.” Tire other dramas are : “Bread on the Water,” telling ho v a. mothar’s note begging her disgraced son to make a man of himself leads to the redemption of another man, who in turn helps to redeem the son and restore him to his parents ; “Final Justice,” one of the most realistic and true-to-life plays ever screened ; “The Fatal Pearl.” a drama of absorbing, dramatic interest and deep intensity, which is bound to hold the audience Irom start to finish. The comics are ; “Miss Tweedledum Mistaken for Nihilist,” an absurdity but a huge popular favourite ; “One on Romance,” a genuine laughterraiser, being the comical adventures of a millionaire amateur actor ; “The Well-Sick Man,” a very lunuy comedy, full of the queerest, quaintest quibbles on the part of a girl who wished to wed her father's clerk. “The New Zealand Animated News” will be full of interesting and up-to date events. “The Great Timber Trade” is a film of magnitude and detail, and a grand educational production. “Sedge Warbler and Cuckoo” is a delightfully interesting depiction of bird life, being one of Pathe’s coloured educational films, From the above will be seen that the programme is one that should draw a large audience and satisfy the most ardent critic.
