MINERS ON STRIKE.

Westport, October 4

The executive of the Miners* Union waited on the management at Denniston to-day, relative to the dismissal of a trucker for the alleged use of foul language and decided to submit to the Union tomorrow the terms promised by the manager and which it is understood include the re-instatement of the trucker on making an apology, and an assurance being given that the mine will not be thrown idle over matters such as the cause of the present trouble. It is hoped that work will be resumed on Monday.
