HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT.

The High Commissioner cabled at noon yesterday as follows : The hemp market is dull, and prices are irregular. Manila has been very depressed during the week, but was a shade better at the close of the market. Manila /30 ; forward shipment ,£29 10s. New Zealand market quiet, with prices slightly weaker. There is more demand at the lower values. Good fair, ros j fair, ,£25 to put of Manila for the week was 19,000 bales. The New York sisal market is firmer and equal to c.i.f. Europe, but no business is reported.
