HEART-EATING SOCIETY.
BLACK HAND RIVALLED.
New York, August 17.
Pittsburg is excitedly discussing a new secret society which is working in its midst. It is a rival of the Black Hand organisation, and is known as the Society of Heart Eaters. This week a local Italian named Vincento Paurilio received the following letter: — “Read and pay attention. If you don’t execute our commands, we will kill you and your family, blow up your house, cut off your head, and eat your heart. This will be done if you do not deposit near Braddock Avenue Bridge. Obey, or prepare to have your heart eaten.”
