“SUCH A PIG-HEAD!"

A MAGISTRATE AND A NEW ZEALAND YOUTH. Hamilton, Sept. 1. Two youths, named Coombes and Monckman, were ordered to military detention by Mr Rawson, S.M., at the Hamilton Court to-day. The Magistrate tried to reason with Coombes, but bis efforts were useless. The latter stated if fines continued to be stopped from , his wages he would cease work. He was determined not to drill, and if ever he was forced to enter battle he would probably be shot in the back while running away. The Magistrate said it was no use trying to reason with such pig-headed youths, and he would see who would get tired first, FOUR SUPERB PIANOS. The Broadwood ! .The Ronisch 1 The Lipp ! . The Steinway ! There are constantly received by the Dresden Piano Company, Ltd,, big shipments of these famous pianos—new instruments, in brilliant condition and tone. Although these pianos have a world-wide reputation for style and quality, they can yet be sold by “The Dresden” at prices which constitute remarkable value 1 Time payments if desired. The Dresden system of deferred payment is so reasonable that clients scarcely miss the instalments. Moreover, those Who buy in this way are only charged legitimate : catalogue prices. This firm—established over thirty years —carries the largest stock of pianos in New Zealand, and has instruments from the lowest to the highest price, so that all can be suited. 1 THE DRESDEN PIANO COMPANY, LTD., WELLINGTON. North Island Manager; M. J. Brookes.
