WOMAN SEIZED IN TENT.

Gisborne, August 15

A serious case is reported from Matawai railway camp. It is Stated that a married woman was seized at night and carried from her tent to another tent, and kept there till the morning.

In the police court this morning, Angus Lament was remanded on a charge of assault with intent. Word has been received of the arrest of William ‘O’Leary, at Opotiki, in connection with the affair. Another arrest is pending.
